Project Details
Recently, we received a request at quite short notice, with only one week to prepare and execute the project. Our team weren’t fazed by this, as we are used to mounting a quick response to a huge range of client requests. This one though, saw us taking to the road! The project site was situated 700 miles away from our base of operations. This, of course, presented some logistical challenges that required meticulous planning. Nevertheless, we got to work right away and developed a clear plan of action that could be executed in full accordance with the client’s pressing timeframe.
The project saw us remove 35 larch trees to make way for an impending telecoms mast installation. The trees would have sat quite close to the mast and could have posed a danger in the event of severe weather conditions or strong winds. So, the decision was made to remove them. The trees were not only felled by our team but also cut up and processed on-site to allow for the speedy removal of the waste. We’re passionate about making life easier for our clients and doing this meant that they had one less thing to worry about!
Challenges and Solutions
This project presented some unique challenges, including:
- Time Constraints: With only one week’s notice, time was of the essence. We know that many of our clients need work carried out at short notice, and we were able to quickly mobilise a team who had the skill and equipment expertise to carry out the work safely and efficiently.
- Long Distance Travel: The considerable distance between the project site and our base necessitated meticulous planning. Luckily for the client, that is something we truly excel in! We love putting together plans for ambitious projects and collaborating fully with clients to ensure that every detail is perfect. So, we felt confident that our work would be completed on time and to the highest possible standard before we even left.
Outcome
After we completed the work, the client was thoroughly impressed by our ability to tackle the project with such precision and speed. Our professionalism and commitment to meeting such a tight deadline was, in their words, truly commendable. The successful completion of the tree removal paved the way for the smooth installation of the telecoms mast, giving the land a new purpose that would serve the wider community for many years to come.
